Ehdaa’s Starting Point: Straight Teeth but a Smile She Wanted to Improve
Ehdaa’s case is different from patients who come to Istanbul because of missing teeth, extensive decay, or a visibly damaged smile.
She explains that her teeth had always been straight and that she had never needed major work to correct their position.
She also says something important:
“I always loved my smile.”
Her reason for considering a Hollywood Smile was therefore not that she disliked everything about her existing teeth. She simply felt that a smile she used constantly in her professional and personal life could look even better.
For almost two years, she explored different ways of improving it, including a Hollywood Smile and other cosmetic dental options.
That makes her experience particularly relevant to patients who already have relatively straight teeth but are considering aesthetic dentistry to improve the overall appearance of their smile.

Her Existing Dental Condition Still Needed to Be Evaluated
Although Ehdaa described her teeth as naturally straight, an aesthetic consultation still had to consider the condition of the entire mouth.
Her dental status showed several previously filled posterior teeth. Two lower molars had also undergone previous root canal treatment with posts and crowns.
Most of the teeth across the visible smile were otherwise recorded as intact.
This distinction matters because straight teeth do not automatically mean that every patient should receive the same cosmetic treatment.
A dentist planning a Hollywood Smile still needs to look at existing fillings, crowns, root canal-treated teeth, the condition of the natural teeth, and how the upper and lower arches work together before deciding which restorations are appropriate.
For Ehdaa, that fuller assessment became especially important once she arrived in Istanbul.

Why Her Original Hollywood Smile Plan Changed After X-Rays
One of the most valuable parts of Ehdaa’s testimonial is her openness about what happened after the clinical examination.
Before traveling, she had already discussed possible treatment options. But after the clinic performed her X-rays and completed the medical consultation, the dentist recommended a different treatment approach from the one initially discussed.
Ehdaa admits that this surprised her.
She had traveled from the United States expecting one plan and suddenly had to reconsider the decision after arriving.
She says:
“To be quite honest, I was really hesitant to accept it.”
That hesitation is understandable. A patient traveling internationally for cosmetic dentistry wants to know that the treatment discussed before departure will not suddenly change without explanation.
In Ehdaa’s case, the difference was that the new recommendation came after the dentist had examined her directly and reviewed her X-rays.
Rather than treating the original remote proposal as final, the treatment was adapted to what the dentist could actually see clinically.

Taking Time Before Saying Yes to the Revised Treatment
Ehdaa did not immediately agree simply because she was already at the clinic.
She describes sitting in the reception area and thinking carefully about whether she should continue.
She had already traveled from Utah to Istanbul and had spent a long time preparing for the decision, yet she still considered walking away when the proposed treatment changed.
For several minutes, she questioned whether proceeding was the right choice.
The team then explained the treatment to her in greater detail, and her dentist also recognized that she was anxious about beginning the procedure.
According to Ehdaa, he reassured her and helped her understand what they were trying to achieve with her smile.
That explanation ultimately gave her enough confidence to continue.
This part of her story is useful because it shows that changing a treatment plan does not necessarily indicate that something has gone wrong. In cosmetic dentistry, an online assessment is preliminary. The final decision should be made after proper imaging and an examination of the teeth in person.

A Personalized Hollywood Smile Rather Than a Standard Package
Ehdaa originally approached treatment with a broad goal: she wanted to improve a smile that was already an important part of her personality and confidence.
Once she was examined, the focus shifted from simply choosing a “Hollywood Smile” to determining which treatment would actually suit her teeth.
Her case therefore illustrates why Hollywood Smile treatment should not be approached as the same package for every patient.
Two people may both have straight teeth and both ask for a Hollywood Smile, while their previous dental work, enamel condition, bite, existing crowns, or restorative needs lead to different treatment recommendations.
For Ehdaa, the final approach was selected only after the clinic had:
- examined her teeth directly
- taken dental X-rays
- reviewed her previous dental work
- discussed her aesthetic expectations
- reconsidered the treatment originally discussed before arrival
That individualized planning became the foundation of her final smile transformation.

From Anxiety at the Beginning to Confidence During Treatment
Ehdaa is very candid about being nervous.
When the treatment changed, she questioned whether she should continue at all. Even once she decided to proceed, she needed reassurance at the beginning of the procedure.
Her dentist noticed that anxiety and slowed the process down enough for her to feel comfortable with the decision.
Ehdaa says that after taking a moment to settle herself, she was able to continue and gradually became much more confident in what was being done.
By the time the treatment was completed, her attitude had changed considerably.
The uncertainty she felt during the consultation had been replaced by confidence in the result.

A Decision She Says She Does Not Regret
The strongest part of Ehdaa’s testimonial comes after the treatment is finished.
The same patient who had seriously considered stopping the process after hearing that her treatment plan needed to change later says:
“I won’t ever regret doing that.”
That statement gives her experience more credibility than if everything had gone exactly as she expected from the beginning.
She had doubts. She asked questions. She took time to think. She needed the revised treatment explained before agreeing to proceed.
Only after going through that process did she become comfortable with the decision.
Her final satisfaction was therefore not based on blindly following the original plan. It came after the plan had been reassessed and adapted to her actual dental situation.

Before and After Ehdaa’s Hollywood Smile Journey
Before treatment, Ehdaa already had naturally straight teeth and a smile she described as cheerful. Her goal was to improve its appearance rather than correct a major alignment problem.
She also had an existing restorative history, including posterior fillings and two lower molars that had previously undergone root canal treatment, post placement, and crown restoration.
After arriving at Mira Clinic, X-rays and the clinical consultation led to a change from the treatment she had initially expected. That created hesitation and anxiety, but the revised approach was explained before she made the decision to continue.
By the end of the treatment, Ehdaa described herself as confident in the completed process and thankful that she had chosen to go ahead.
The change was therefore not simply between an old smile and a new one. It was also a journey from uncertainty about what treatment she really needed to confidence in a plan based on an in-person dental assessment.

Final Perspective
Ehdaa Amin traveled from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Istanbul after thinking about improving her smile for almost two years.
She did not begin with severely crooked teeth or a smile she hated. Her teeth were naturally straight, and she already liked the cheerful character of her smile. What she wanted was a carefully planned aesthetic improvement that could make it look even better.
Once she arrived at Mira Clinic, the dental examination and X-rays revealed that the treatment should be approached differently from the option initially discussed remotely. With existing fillings and previous root canal-treated, crowned molars also forming part of her dental history, her case needed to be considered individually rather than treated as a standard Hollywood Smile package.
The revised plan initially made her anxious enough to question whether she should continue. After receiving an explanation from the dentist and taking time to consider the recommendation, she chose to proceed.
By the end of her Hollywood Smile journey, the uncertainty had disappeared. Ehdaa says she felt confident with the completed treatment and, looking back on the decision, says clearly that she does not regret doing it.
