My experience with eyelid surgery in Turkey

By

Hello everyone, this is Christine from Italy. I’m very excited to share my experience with eyelid surgery in Turkey! After getting tired of the appearance of my eyelids, which always seemed to convey fatigue and exhaustion, I decided to explore eyelid surgery options in Turkey. Eyelid surgery in Turkey has become a prominent destination for cosmetic tourism worldwide, and luckily, I chose the Mira Clinic. Everything went smoothly there. Now, I’ll share the details of my journey with eyelid surgery in Turkey and answer any questions you might have before making a decision about undergoing the procedure.

How was my situation before the eyelid surgery?

My eyelids had become a source of significant embarrassment among my friends and colleagues. The sagging and wrinkles persisted despite countless creams recommended by well-meaning friends. These cosmetic products failed to deliver the desired results, leaving me frustrated. My self-confidence took a severe blow as I felt ashamed of my appearance. Even wearing eye makeup became impossible due to the excess skin. The discomfort and pain in my eyelids had escalated, affecting my vision. Desperate for a solution, I embarked on a journey to find a way to correct this bothersome sagging. After exhausting various non-surgical options, I realized that surgical blepharoplasty was the most effective solution. Determined to regain my confidence, I began researching the best clinic to perform the procedure.

  • Specialized Surgeons and Experience: Turkey boasts specialized eyelid surgeons with high qualifications in this field. They perform a significant number of successful eyelid surgeries annually, ensuring expertise and competence.

How was I welcomed to perform the eyelid surgery at Mira Clinic?

When I finally decided to go for it, I booked my trip to Turkey. From the moment I landed, I felt like a VIP. The clinic arranged for airport transfers, and I was whisked away to a beautiful hotel. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made me feel completely at ease.

My consultation with the surgeon was amazing. He took the time to listen to my concerns and explained the procedure in detail. He was honest about what I could expect and answered all my questions. I felt completely confident in his expertise.

How was my eyelid surgery done?

Following my initial consultation, my surgeon scheduled the blepharoplasty for the very next day, giving me little time to prepare mentally. Here's a breakdown of my experience with eyelid surgery in Turkey:

To begin, the surgeon administered local anesthesia to numb the area. Next, a surgical incision was made along the natural crease of the upper eyelid. The skin was carefully separated from the underlying tissues, and the excess skin and fat were removed. The underlying muscle was then tightened, and the incision was closed using dissolvable sutures. A similar procedure was performed on the lower eyelid, with an incision made just below the lash line. Excess fat was redistributed or removed, along with any sagging skin. The incision was then closed with dissolvable sutures.

Did I follow any instructions after my eyelid surgery?

Following my blepharoplasty in Turkey, my doctor provided me with a list of post-operative instructions to help speed up my recovery. These included:

●  Maintaining a balanced diet and increasing my fluid intake.

●  Use the prescribed eye drops and ointment, and gently clean the incision area daily with a soft, clean cloth and warm water.

●  Elevating my head for two to three days after surgery and applying cold compresses to reduce swelling.

●  Taking over-the-counter pain relievers as needed for discomfort during the initial hours after surgery.

●  Avoid showering for two days following the procedure.

●  Engaging in light walking from the first day to promote healing and prevent blood clots.

How do I feel about my results?

I am absolutely thrilled with the results of my blepharoplasty in Turkey. My confidence has skyrocketed since the surgery. I now love going out with friends without feeling self-conscious about my appearance. I feel more beautiful than ever before. From the warm welcome at the airport to the comfortable accommodations, convenient transportation, and exceptional care at the clinic, my entire experience was nothing short of fantastic. If you're considering blepharoplasty in Turkey, I wholeheartedly recommend Mira Clinic in Turkey. They truly exceeded my expectations, and I'm so grateful for the positive transformation they've helped me achieve. Don't hesitate to contact Mira Clinic to schedule your consultation and start your journey to a more youthful and refreshed look.
